How to fix “Currency doesn’t match the country” in Google Merchant Center

Merchant Center shows this as “Unsupported or inconsistent currency” or similar wording. Here’s what it means and how to fix it.

What it means

The submitted price currency must be valid for the relevant target country and consistent with the product page and checkout.

How to fix it yourself

  1. Confirm the target country and currency shown in the exact issue details.
  2. Compare the submitted currency with the live product page and checkout for that country.
  3. Check currency formatting and feed mapping in the source platform; do not convert or replace values without verifying the intended market.
  4. Refresh product data after correcting the source, then check the item's status.

Based on Google’s help page: support.google.com/merchants/. Google changes its rules from time to time, so check the issue’s own “Learn more” link in Merchant Center too.
