How to fix “Merchant Center account suspended” in Google Merchant Center

Merchant Center shows this as “Account suspended or account-level policy issue” or similar wording. Here’s what it means and how to fix it.

What it means

An account-level issue can affect many or all products. Do not repeatedly request reviews before understanding and correcting the stated cause.

How to fix it yourself

  1. Open Merchant Center → Needs attention / account issues and record the exact issue title, affected destination, country and any deadline.
  2. Compare the online store with the business information in Merchant Center: business identity, contact details, shipping, returns, payment methods and checkout should be clear and consistent.
  3. Check for misleading claims, placeholder pages, broken navigation, unavailable products or information that differs between the site and product data.
  4. Correct the underlying issue first. Then follow the review or appeal action shown by Google for that issue; approval is not guaranteed.

Based on Google’s help page: support.google.com/merchants/answer/6150127. Google changes its rules from time to time, so check the issue’s own “Learn more” link in Merchant Center too.
