How to fix “Missing product details” in Google Merchant Center

Merchant Center shows this as “Missing required product attribute” or similar wording. Here’s what it means and how to fix it.

One-click fixLimits how products show

What it means

Required product attributes vary by item type, destination and the current product data specification.

How to fix it yourself

  1. Record the exact attribute name shown in the issue details (for example: brand, condition, color, size or google_product_category).
  2. Check whether the source item actually has that information and whether your feed maps it to the expected attribute name and format.
  3. For variant products, check that attributes are populated on each relevant variant and that values use supported formats.
  4. Correct the source data, refresh/resubmit the feed, then verify the issue clears after processing.

Based on Google’s help page: support.google.com/merchants/answer/7052112. Google changes its rules from time to time, so check the issue’s own “Learn more” link in Merchant Center too.
