How to fix “Product page not working” in Google Merchant Center

Merchant Center shows this as “Landing page unavailable, broken, or not crawlable” or similar wording. Here’s what it means and how to fix it.

What it means

Google and customers need to reach the specific product page. Broken redirects, access restrictions or server errors can block eligibility.

How to fix it yourself

  1. Open the exact submitted URL in a private/incognito window and test it on desktop and mobile.
  2. Confirm it loads the specific product, returns a successful HTTP response and does not redirect to a generic home/category page.
  3. Check robots.txt, security rules, bot protection, redirects and server logs for unintended blocks of Google's crawlers.
  4. Update the product link in the source feed and resubmit after the page is fixed.
